สมรส

From Sanskrit समरस (samarasa, literally “to have equal feelings; to share the same feelings”), from सम (sama) +‎ रस (rasa). Clipping of เสกสมรส which was coined by Vajiravudh to be used with royal marriages.[1]

สมรส • (sǒm-rót)

1. (formal) marriage.
   • 1976, พระราชบัญญัติให้ใช้บทบัญญัติบรรพ ๕ แห่งประมวลกฎหมายแพ่งและพาณิชย์ที่ได้ตรวจชำระใหม่ พ.ศ. ๒๕๑๙‎:

     มาตรา ๑๔๖๕ ถ้าสามีภริยามิได้ทำสัญญากันไว้ในเรื่องทรัพย์สินเป็นพิเศษก่อนสมรส ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างสามีภริยาในเรื่องทรัพย์สินนั้นให้บังคับตามบทบัญญัติในหมวดนี้

     mâat-dtraa nʉ̀ng pan sìi rɔ́ɔi hòk-sìp hâa tâa sǎa-mii pá-rí-yaa mí-dâai tam sǎn-yaa gan wái nai rʉ̂ʉang sáp-sǐn bpen pí-sèet gɔ̀ɔn sǒm-rót kwaam-sǎm-pan rá-wàang sǎa-mii pá-rí-yaa nai rʉ̂ʉang sáp-sǐn nán hâi bang-káp dtaam bòt-ban-yàt nai mùuat níi

     Section 1465 If the husband and wife have, prior to their marriage, not adopted any special agreement regarding their property, the relationship between the husband and wife in relation to their property shall be governed by the provisions of the present Chapter.

     Section 1451 An adoptive parent and his or her adopted child may not marry each other.
