Ottoman Turkish

Etymology

There are two theories;

From reciprocal form of Proto-Turkic *bar- (“to walk, go; to come, reach”), whence also Ottoman Turkish وارمق‎ (varmak, “to go”).
Related to Proto-Turkic *baŕ.

بارشمق • (barışmak)

to become mutually reconciled; to make peace

Descendants

Turkish: barışmak
→ Middle Armenian: բարիշել (barišel), պարըշիլ (parəšil), պարիշիլ (parišil)
- Armenian: բարիշել (barišel)
